KEF Endüstriyel has been carrying out R&D in concept development, design and product development for many years. R&D activities, which until 2015 were run with limited in-house resources, were restructured with the establishment of an R&D department in line with the approach of a modern R&D centre. In this process, the product development team was expanded, modern design approaches were adopted and significant investments were made in this area.
In recent years, under this new R&D approach, we have provided customers with substantial services in concept development, design, continuous improvement, product development and prototyping. In addition, design and product development work has been extended in scope in response to demand from the aftermarket and to market research.
Alongside ongoing design and development activities, the transition of new products to series production is closely monitored. The quality and industrialisation processes of products used in many lines of business — above all industrial kitchen products, as well as ovens, blenders, coffee machines and water heaters — are managed by expert in-house teams.
In addition to concept creation, design and product development, the company's R&D centre also evaluates feedback from the aftermarket, which has become an important area of activity.

Training programmes: Creating in-house training to develop human resources suited to the industry's R&D needs.

Developing intellectual property rights: Increasing the number and quality of intellectual and industrial property rights and raising their commercial potential.
Spreading an R&D culture: Strengthening a culture of R&D and collaboration within the company.
